Edible Arrangements

I visited an Edible Arrangements location in Phoenix and I was very disappointed that they wouldn't let me in the back of the store where they actually cut and work on the fruit. Sure, the arrangements are really pretty, but I wonder what kind of preservatives they use? And no one would tell me. I tried to observe, but they wouldn't let me. Have you ever been turned down when you want to see a kitchen at a restaurant? of course not. But at Edible Arrangements they wouldn't let me in. I'm very suspicious about what goes on back there. I'm going to stick with fruit baskets that have whole pieces of fruit. At least I know the fruit has come from the market and hasn't been cut open. In 100+ heat, cutting fruit always leads to germs. I'm not going to trust Edible Arrangements.
