Been there twice now, for thier ingenuius grooming set up! I use the tick dip tub. Everyone's nice, helpful, they provide you with all you need, advice too. Just bring extra towel(s) for Fido 2 sit on in car. I Definitely will return on a regular basis. AS FOR THOSE COMPLAINTS ON BOARDING... well, gee, no dog wants to be left at boarding! Maybe sometimes force is needed to restrain an animal. I'd rather see a dog pulled by the tail then have them run off, get into it w/ a car, bite, bitten, lost, etc. Maybe theres more to that story. A DOG is a part of family!, I would NEVER board my dog(s). Heck, my mom hates dogs but has no problem babysitting my little dog she luvs him. And right now i'm caring for my ex's Border Collie. Think about it: You know that your dog don't wanna go! what do u expect? Your dog to say: "Oh sure just dump me off and leave me here at a kennel like im just a dog.. i'll just wonder why you deserted me, along with all these other dogs here howling for thier owners to come home." says Fido. Then have someone babysit. even i would! Ask a friend to watch your dog. Thats the problem... people dont seem to care anymore, friends arent friends anymore, people only seem to call thier 'friends' when they want something from them. So, here you are: you end up stuck w/ a dog, boarding is expensive and all, and you wanna go to the beach, and cant take Fido. Think of these things BEFORE you get a dog and WAY BEFORE you wanna go on vacation. Desperate for a good pet motel? I can petsit at my place, but only small animals at my place due to size of home. Doggie Dude Ranch on 13th ave: Three thumbs up. However; i have never had to board my pets there or anywhere. If i cant find a caretaker, I stay home. My dog would be miserable. They DO provide AWESOME service, they are very good people, great advice and help. If you have any comments feel free to direct them to me at: baddestgirlintown@live ( dot com )

I want to go drop my dog off at this A-Bar dude ranch, and what I am about to share will amaze people. As soon as I walked in they were jerking this dog by its tail to try and get him or her into his cage. As the dog escaped they started cursing the dog and its owner for not raising a more behaved anmal. When I questioned there methodes, they simply told me to mind my own beeswax, and then stared at me wondering what I was doing there. I simply laughed and walked out the door with my dog. Avoid this place at all costs, or you may find that when picking up your dog his tail will be a little longer then when he was dropped off.

On our way to the airport, I called for directions several times. I mentioned we were needing to check in and out and b/c we had car trouble the day we were to leave Phoenix, AZ- (we had a friend take us last minute) b/c of our truck leaking that am. When we arrived no one was at the desk, then a young girl sees my dog and then asked if the bag i had there for him was his. I mentioned to her, that if i needed to sign anything that i needed to do it and i began looking for a pen. She never said what i needed to do, nor did she act like she was there to help us get checked in other than accepting my dog. I confirmed that this was my dog, and that these were his things. She said nothing else. My husband came in to use the bathroom, and then said "ok, looking at her, Good bye, and she said "Bye" back. We then got a call from a lady with an attitude threatening to have my dog picked up by the pound, telling me i couldn't just drop him and go. I explained what happened and that the young attendant (16 yr old or so) neglected to tell me what i needed to fill out. I had spoken on the phone weeks prior, setting up my file with someone over the phone. I also mentioned what I asked (about signing anything) to the young girl, and the older lady (the mgr-i guess) was very snobby and lacked compassion. I have also worked in the service industry and was never this brash with anyone. She automatically blamed me and was not compassionate of my plans to try to make my flight (this was for Christmas). This conversation was over fast, and then the owner called me. I asked that they please bear with me and let me fax the signed paper work as soon as i landed. This was not acceptable unless i paid an additional 200.00 administrative fee in addition to my dog's stay which was around $240 or so alone. He also blamed me 100% and didn't consider that his young help could lack in servicing me. They threatened to have my dog picked up. They have customer service backwards!
