You don't have to shell out hundreds to have a great golf experience: head to the city-run Cave Creek Golf Course to get the excitement and challenges of Arizona golf at a price far less than what most resorts and clubs offer. Easily the most popular of Phoenix's municipal golf courses, the 18-hole, par 72 course holds fairly straight fairways with plenty of surrounding hazards to make the game interesting. Located a few miles north of downtown Phoenix but less than a mile off of I-17, the course runs near the creek, just north of Cave Creek Park.
